Loving Shabbat
The first time I felt a sense of my Jewish identity was the first time I celebrated a Jewish holiday at home. When I was about three. Also, finding out about Kashrut laws was a time that I felt a sense of my Jewish identity.
One memory that I have of celebrating a Jewish holiday when I was young was celebrating Shabbat with my family. We did the kiddish and lit candles. My favorite Jewish tradition that I practice today is the Passover Seder.
Maya: The most interesting thing that I learned from interviewing my grandma Zoharah was that she loved Shabbat.
